Hi Marion, I have a question about one of your embossing techniques. I noticed that someone used it on the last ATC card that you showed here, but I first noticed it on the cauldron in your Halloween album. I'm not sure if you were planning to use that in one of your videos, but if not, can you please describe the technique you used for that? Thank you so much! Tracey fairjuno1@yahoo.com
Thank you! That is awesome. Now I just need to buy some clear embossing ink and find a mask. I should be able to get those at Michaels though. Thank you...I just found your blog a few days ago and you have really inspired me to get back in there and try some new things. :)
I was just thinking...I do have a clear embossing stamp pad that's still fairly new. Do you think I might be able to do it a little differently by stamping an image (some of my stamps have pretty solid backgrounds that I think may work.) I suppose it's worth a try for now until I can go to Michaels tomorrow and get a tube of ink like yours. It seems like your dabber would put out more ink than the pad. Is that true? Anyway, I suppose it's worth a shot for now. I'm anxious to give it a try.
You would think that the dauber would put out more, but it only does so if you apply a lot of p reassure. The fluid control is actually really flexible. When you just rub it barely puts out anything. You would really have to daub a lot for the fluid to really flow. An ink pad would work as well if you're rubbing it on the paper, but not for the brush techniques in video 2. I think if you're really going to tap into embossing you'll need all three, the dauber, the pad, and the loose liquid. For now I would try one at a time and see if you even like it!
That makes sense. Thanks. As for embossing, I've only used the pad with stamps so far and I love it. I'm also loving that you've opened the door for me to learn more. :) I definitely plan to buy the dauber and now there's a liquid as well? Okay, count me in...lol. :)
I'm assuming the liquid will be used with a brush like you mentioned for video 2. I've been to youtube, but I haven't seen the video yet, so I'll keep a lookout for it. If I don't see it soon, I guess I'll have to wait until morning. It's 3am here. LOL.
