We are connected!

Today let's all have an awesome day filled with family and happiness! After some not so nice email this morning I just feel like I need to have a good time and appreciate all the good things in my life. I need to accept that not everyone will like me and that there are people out there who turn things around and make things into something they are not just to hurt you for no good reason at all. It's a big bite to swallow, but why worry about that when those people don't matter.

All that matters is your family and God. I think everyone should give each other the benefit of the doubt and try to see the good things in each other. When I say family I'm talking about all of us because we are all connected! How wonderful would it be if we all focused on loving each other and being happy for eachother? Most of the time it is that way and I am so happy to be surrounded by all of the positive energy.

There is a lot of room in this world for all of our creativity and we should all support each other in that, be happy for each other and help each other when it is needed. Negativity and gossip is poison and I know we are all guilty of it, no one is perfect.

So I just wanted to say, let's be happy and not focus on bad things. Let's think twice before possibly hurting someone else. I mean how lucky are we to know each other and have this amazing group of friends from all around?

I am truly grateful to know you, and I love sharing my ideas and learning from you as well. We are all connected, and we are such amazing supporters of each other. So today tell yourself, "I am good enough, and I will be a good person no matter what. There will be people who don't like me maybe hate me, but I will pray that they acquire the peace needed to be happy and spread happiness to others!" Everyone have an awesome day!! Thank you all!

xoxo
Marion

Back in February I started The Loving Kindness project to quiet hateful words that were being spread in an online art community that I'm part of. We created art in support of loving kindness and posted the pieces in my LK Flickr group. Feel free to post here if you like:

Marion, when I opened my little gift shop almost 20 years ago, there were some naysayers and some people that made sure I knew I was going to hurt their business. As it turned out, those people had some bad things hapen to them and I was the first one to reach out and offer them support which floored them, they turned around and became a dear friend. People are always going to say or do hurtful things, just always try to be the better person and you will succeed, I promise!

Hugs, Zelia

Oh Marion so true. We have to keep the peace inside ourselves and just trust God to work on those who dont' understand, or misinterpret our intentions. Hurting people hurt people, it's a sad world out there but if we can at least let our lights continue to shine in the midst of some moments of darkness, others will see something shine in us. Keep pressing on, you are a blessing! ~Kelly (walkelmol)

What I've found in life is the people who try to put me down in when things are going well are just insecure themselves or jealous. Unfortunately not everyone will rejoice when we rejoice - but you're embarking on SO many wonderful things. Don't let anyone steal your joy! I, for one, am so excited for you and wish you the best. God bless you and your precious family!! (onehappyone)

Marion, I've known you for a very long time. :o) And let me just say that your work is amazing and your business will succeed no matter what. I believe that God has plans and ever since my Cancer diagnose, I have becomed closer to God than ever before. People will do things out of jealousy, and all we can do is say what you said... A prayer for them to heal of the jealousy and hatred they contain in their hearts. Don't let things like that affect you. You continue doing your amazing work and thanking God for all the blessings! Take Care and God Bless!

Marion you will never make everyone happy. I hope this person realizes you craft for yourself and for your family. You do not need the approval of others to be happy. You have lots of friends here who admire you for who
you are. You are an inspiration to a lot of people. Jealous people are everywhere and feed off of others. Keep your head held high and remember why you are doing this.

WOW! you just made me cry! I received a VERY nasty call followed by a VERY nasty email from the same person at work this morning.... I cried, and ended leaving to go home. It was too much... my art and my art family was on my mind as i drove home... There is just something about this community that makes everything ok and make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside... Much love, ~hugs~ Michelle

Marion, I'm so sorry you've experienced some painful negativity. I am so grateful to have found your youtube channel and blog and to be inspired by the beauty you create. You put good out in the world, and that's all anyone can hope for. I appreciate you, your kind spirit, and your art.
Best wishes,

By the length & content of your blog post, it's apparent whatever was said or written hurt you deeply. So sorry your having to deal with such a pety thing. Try not to dwell on it, it's not worth it. You have a whole lot of people out here, who look forward to your next project, and who wish you all the success you can get. Get a smile on that face & get creating! That'll show em :) Take care Marion.

I have never understood the "Negative Nellies"!! I applaud and celebrate my crafty sisters when good things come their way!!!! Try to let it roll off!!! I know it's hard and I just don't understand why people do the hurtful things they do! I will keep them and you in my prayers!!! As long as you stay true to God and yourself, good things will win out!!! After all, if God is for us, who can be against us?
Love ya, girl!!

Marion, as far as I know and think, You are a great person. We've never met but you have talked to me over chats, on face book and e-mails and you have always been so sweet and kind. I'm sorry there are people out there that are so negative. I know, like you said, none of us are perfect, but I do try and think twice about what I say cause I don't want to hurt anyone either because I wasn't thinking or was just overly emotional. I hope your day gets better and all of our prayers are with you and yours!!

Very well said. We are so lucky that you share your ideas and so much of your inspiration with us. You could easily create, teach workshops and open a store and keep all of your talent to yourself and those you personally encounter you but you choose to find us and we are all so very greatful. Many people may not see it that way. The glass if half empty for them. Thanks for all you do. You inspire me.

I can say from experience that the nasty comments and emails can cut very deeply...they tend to erase the overwhelming number of good comments that I am sure you get each day. Envy is an ugly emotion....don't let it pull you down....I know it's hard to do! Remember, the supporters far outnumber the detractors! Chin up and ignore the trolls!!

It's hard to see all the good we have around us but it definitely outweighs the bad. It's hard to ignore the bad because it hurts no matter how strong we think we are. It's best not to waste our energy, emotion, and time on the negative people. Good always prevails! :)

Oh Marion! How could anyone possibly say anything bad to/about you? You're so sweet - I couldn't possibly begin to fathom why on earth someone would be mean to you! {{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} (the fancy brackets are for an extra special hug!)

There must be something in the air lately! I've been experiencing something similar and so have others. It's hard to imagine anyone being negative towards you, you're always so sweet and cheerful in you're videos! You can even laugh at yourself when you goof up on a project and show us it's OK and just start over, no harm, no foul, no guilt! The only perfect person that walked the earth was crucified for OUR sins, so all we can do is try to live our lives following his example as best we can and hopefully others will notice and try to be better. Keep sharing your beautiful work, words and face with those who appreciate you! (and your beautiful children!)

some people are so jealous, I can't believe this! If you do not like the ideas of someone, you just don't follow her/him, that's all... why do they want to hurt, I don't know. But I know that it is about "them", not you Marion.
I am from Turkey and I try to follow scrapbooking via the internet; the blogs, ustream, etc. There are genius people--like Laura Denison my hero for all time---- and you Marion. your ideas, your projects are so wonderful... so I agree with you, why worry about that when those people don't matter.... people like you add beauty to the world...

hi marion,
i read your blog this morning and wanted to take time to leave a message.i always look at your ustream recordings.i live in the netherlands so we have different timezones.as you know you have a lot of followers and people who think the world of you.the world is full of negative people and still you put yourself out there.i admire that.you open up your home and your heart to total strangers that become your friends.you share your lovely family.i enjoy watching all of it.everyone will have negative people that dont wish them well in their lives that come passing through.it hurts and you dont understand why.as long as you remember who you are and remember how many people love you all will be good.i think you reacted right by wishing them well and move on.hundreds of people love you and a few not so much.to bad for them.i always craft when i feel bad.just look at your husband and kids and you will feel better.definitly.thats what i always do.i wish you all the best and will be watching your shows.i will be smiling and having fun as always.

Marion, I'm so sorry you are experiencing such awful jealousy :( And that's essentially what it is. Age has given me the ability to look at things differently than I might have 20 years ago. And one of the things I have realized is that all of us have some kind of talent. We are all different. And not everyone takes the time to find their talent, and therefore, they cannot be happy, and also cannot be happy for others who have done so. You are an incredible artist. God has given you such a wonderful talent. I'm not nearly as talented with art as you, or others who I'm meeting online. And I can accept that, and be happy for all of you who have the talent. We are all connected, you are so right. And when one person tries to ruin it for another, that person doesn't realize they are only ruining it for themselves. That realization may never come. So just keep on keeping on, Marion, and use the talent you were given to make beautiful things. I appreciate the time and generosity of you and so many others who share their talent with me and so many others.

Many blessings,

Jenny

Hi Marion,

You are very inspiring. I was just watching another crafter and she did an altered book that was inspired by you. I was wondering. How do you altered a book? I have never done one and I would like to learn. They look so beautiful. Please help.

Hugs,
Janet

It takes a wise honest happy person to realize life is just more than things, that's why words hurt us. It's not about your success but the love you spread to all ypur fellow crafter's, for all the projects you have taught us to make without love and gratitude in return they will seem incomplete. In good Marion style put a big bright sparkley prima flower on this incomplete spot, dance a little...and move on, we love you and that's all that matters! Thank you for sacrificing your emotions so that we may, in return enjoy your crafting! Big tight hug to you...muahhhh

Marion, it is disheartening when people say or do hurtful things. Your post is a wonderful example of rising above the negativity and focusing on the important things - Faith and Family and Friends... love and hugs.

Hi Marion, I've never really posted on your blog before, but I follow all of your videos on ustream (your own and prima), youtube and your blog. I have watched you create art from the very first video and have been rooting for you since. I just wanted to let you know that you are such a great inspiration to so many crafters out there. It is because of you that I have had the nerve to finally start a blog and be more proactive about crafting and doing things that make me happy.

Keep smiling and do what you do best. Love and prayers x

It makes my heart hurt to think that someone said things that were hurtful to you. I have come to realize that when things like this happen it usually has nothing to do with you. Some people feel the need to hurt others in order to make themselves feel better. I hope you know how many people think you are amazing! You have truly been such an inspiration to so many people including myself. In the last few years I have had some health issues that have left me disabled. I had to quit working and am now stuck at home a lot. I felt lost. I found one of your videos on YouTube one day. You inspired me to pull my scrapping stuff out of storage and begin creating. It has become such an important therapeutic outlet for me. I even recently started doing videos on YouTube. Your creativity has helped so many people worldwide. You touch peoples lives in such a positive way. Just follow your heart and God will keep laying out his path for you. Head up girl. You are a true angel.
