June Daily journal & Videos

June 2013 Daily Journal

Hello everyone! Just a quick little share today.I created a June journal to document the whole month of June 2013. I have big plans for this month and wanted something to remember the adventure. I will be doing a youtube video every day this month as I complete a page in this journal. I'm so excited about it and I hope you'll stop in and see what I'm up to.
"I love torn edges"
I added some fun 7Gypsies clips to my pages even though those pages have not been embellished yet, gives me that feeling of accomplishment, like my book is coming together. (Yes I'm a strange bird in that way!)
I love adding any kind of metal embellishment to my covers, texture is so fun to play with. The cover is very clean and simple, but who knows I may add something to it along the way.
Here's a peek at my first page for June 1st. I haven't added the photo for today yet..eeep..I will though, I just haven't taken it yet and I have an idea for the first photo. I'm going to journal on the little tabbed ATC card by 7Gypsies.
The photo will go on the left in the photo below. You will see it finished in tomorrow's video I am sure. :)

Thank you all so much for stopping in today, I love hearing from you all so please leave me a comment and let me know what ya think. Have a wonderful weekend!

Click here to register Registration ends on May 13th and we onyl have a few spots left being that we are only hosting a very limited amount of seats to keep the event carefree and intimate.

We will be making a mixed media Gypsy Journal for one of the classes and a mixed media canvas for the other! That's not all though, during crop night we will be having a gypsy journal goody bar, no not the kind of goodies you eat! We are talking all sorts of fun embellishments to load up your journals!

Mixed Media Journal

Hello everyone!

I thought I would share this fun mixed media book with you today. I used products from Canvas Corp, 7gypsies, and Tattered Angels!

For the cover I used 7gypsies collage tape which be still my heart comes in several designs! I simply collaged the tape for my cover pattern.

The roses are simple rolled paper but I kicked mine up a bit by using Tattered Angels Suede paper, 7gypsies ephemera, and a 7gypsies Swiss dots stamps on Tattered Angels Brushed Cotton paper.

For the binding of my book I used 7gypsies pins and simply pinned them through each signature and threaded a piece of Tattered Angels brushed cotton paper through the pins. I the attached them to my covers using brads.

I love making pockets for my books, I created this pocket using the Suede Tattered Angels paper and glimmer mist. I love the ombré look!

7gypsies has so many yummy metals to play with, so I added a few to my cover!

Distressing with glimmer mist is a snap! No really, all you do is point and spray! The chalkboard mists are perfect for this because they tend to look much softer than traditional glimmer mist. Some of my favorite colors to distress with are, cardboard, decadence, clam bake, and Dijon.

Check out this grungy tag I distressed and stamped with some of the new 7gypsies cling mount stamps!

I'm in love with Canvas Corp envelopes! You will notice I use them quite a bit as they have become a staple for mini books! Try misting them! I also love the Canvas Corp Kraft basics papers. They can be mixed matched with just about any patterned paper!

Thank you all for stopping in today, don't forget to leave a comment on the Tattered Angels, 7gypsies, and Canvas Corp Facebook pages! We will be picking a winner on each page at random to win some awesome new goodies! Also check back often as we will be posting more techniques each week and even some "how to" videos!

Xoxo
